“ With every course layout, taking the best geographical features of the park along with the mix of trees and other types of shrubs and bushes to create the most challenging opportunity while keeping in mind the other parks uses and any potential liabilities that may occur from any errant shots. I pride myself with the ability to see a holes layout without any major degradation to the existing plant life and mature growth. My moto is to ‘Walk softly and carry a small disc’ to see the lines backwards and forwards and always create an iconic hole to remember!” |

Colin has been involved in disc golf for since 2014. Having choose disc golf to help him manage - Caregiver burnout - it was the perfect match. “The freedom and flexibility disc golf offers in unmatched. At that time I had only 3 discs and used a purple paisley cloth shopping bag and that was more than enough the sport”. I am also an accomplished tournament organizer having run Union for 4 years. The event has been an A-Tier, B-Tier, and C-Tier. The first Union sponsored by Sun Life Financial and held at the St. Thomas Golf and Country Club was an unparalleled success and one of my most proud disc golf accomplishments. While relatively new to the disc golf scene, Ian has been playing disc sports since 1999 when he first began playing Ultimate and would casually play disc golf with Ultimate discs. His ultimate career has seen him participate in 10 Canadian National Ultimate Championships, 5 USA National Ultimate Championships and 3 World Championships. He also a wealth of experience developing programs and organizing events as he worked for the Toronto Ultimate Club running their leagues, tournaments, and junior’s program for over 10 years. He also was the Tournament Director for the 2013 World Ultimate Under 23 Championships. From there he has been a regular participant for the Toronto Island Disc Golf league as well as other leagues around the GTA. The very first tournament he participated in was the 2017 YOUDONEVENKNOW charity tournament at Whiskey Run, Port Colborne and took home 1st place in his division. In 2019 he was the TD of the Movember MoDown Charity tournament for Movember that takes place in November at E.T. Seton Disc Golf Course. Currently, Ian is in his 3rd year as an Ambassador for Prodigy Disc and has joined the Prodigy Disc Canada team as the Marketing and Fulfillment manager in 2020. “I am ecstatic to be joining the Prodigy Disc Ambassador for my 3rd year and look forward to working with and supporting my teammates for the upcoming season.
